We have UA SSL plugins aswell and I have to say that UA sounds a bit better and more modern feel to them

I still feel that $319 is a GREAT price as the Waves SSL bundle is really nice and works on all types of recordings.

Thanks Chris.

i have Waves mercury and am really wondering if I should replace them with UAD. Dunno why but Waves always seemed to drop the ball at the 10 yard line and my old favourite compressor was the UA 1176 pre the UAD days that is now defunct.

I guess I answered my own question

While I was using PT 10 (or lower), this was the list of my choice:

!. SSL Duende (Native or discontinued DSP box)
2. Waves SSL
3. IKM
4. UAD
5. Native Instruments

Unfortunately, the one I like the most - Duende will never be ported to AAX64 (I have all plugs SSL released for Duende, their Reverb is amazing, btw).

I prefer to use SSL by Waves and IKM more than UAD (I like to keep UAD's power for other plugs).

How would You rate the IKM ? I never considered those before. As I mentioned in my first post I have the Solid Mix series from NI but had no chance to compare them to Waves. What is Your opinion on those three?

Thank You
Piotr

I completely dislike NI. Cold, harsh, gui is a joke, unstable... NI is a king of VI's but for FX's, no, thanx. It was a part of Komplete or Maschine - can't remember now, thus I would never buy it.

As almost all of IKM's stuff, it sounds ok, warm, intuitive, modern but stability and CPU hog is something that keeps me away on bigger sessions.

I have this bundle, I originally bought it to be compatible with a project I was working on. I use it a lot more than I originally thought I would. The sale price is about as low as this plug-in normally sells for used, so it's definitely a good deal. These don't show up used very often, and the used price fluctuates a lot, so this is a good chance to get this if you've been looking for it.

Thanks everybody for their input.
I got them at audiodeluxe.com for 319 usd. If anyone is still interested it is even less at plugindiscounts.com of which I was previously not aware of. Anyway, I am glad I finally got them.
Thanks again

Piotr

Yes we always try to use Audiodeluxe as I know what I get and they have great support but as i looked around now the bundle is even more discounted at plugindiscount.com 299 USD is AMAZING price for this bundle

Thanks for sharing that as non audiodeluxe members might go that way instead.

Anyway 299 or 319 both prices are great and I never seen these plugins for less than 499 USD so WOW is all I can say! We paid almost double that and still happy with this bundle,

Just to echo what someone said about NI plugins (non VI) and IKM, we have those too and in commercial pop with actual radio hits we would never use those two developers and if anything UA and Slate for example are the ones that gets the job done Remember that if your recordings are sub par you won't get them where they need to be with any plugin on the planet so what goes in .. ya know

Best
Christopher

The API bundle is on sale too ($250 thru Waves, or $186 at AudioDeluxe). Much better deal, IMO. I can live without the SSL stuff (and I do! Most of my tracking is through an SSL anyway, no need to double down on that) but the API EQ's are indispensable.
