Lost 7.1 Licence while getting upgrade to 7.4

Hello everyone (I'm new here) ..

I purchased MP 7.1 from a store boxed and just today I purchased the ProTools M-Powered 7.4 full upgrade through the DigiDesign store. From what I gather, it's suppose to give my iLok a licence for 7.4 as well as keep my original licence functioning at the same time. Instead of this, when I check my iLok, it says that I have the following two licences:

Pro Tools M-Powered 7.3 in bundle Pro Tools M-Powered 6.x to 7.4 Upgrade

Pro Tools M-Powered 7.4 in bundle Pro Tools M-Powered 6.x to 7.4 Upgrade

I'm just curious, where did my original 7.1 licence go? Is it permanently deleted or something? Chances are I'm not going to need it I guess, but it'd be nice to know it's there if I ever intend to use it for some odd reason. Either way, I've never had 7.3, so why would I have it on my iLok now - especially since I originally had the 7.1 version of the Pro Tools M-Powered.

Sorry, you have to surrender the old license for the new one to prevent case like sell the old license to somebody or using PTMP on 2 computers but paid only once.

I understand, I just remember reading somewhere on one of the Digidesign pages about still leaving the original registration intact while getting the new one as well. I mean, technically, I now have the registration for both 7.3 and 7.4 - don't I? As I wrote in the original message, the iLok now says I have both for some reason. This is why I'm left wondering where the registration for 7.3 came from and the 7.1 went to .. especially since I originally HAD 7.1's registration. Now 7.1 is gone. Instead, it's apparently replaced with 7.3 AND 7.4. (if I understand iLok correctly).

I just registered with iLok the other day for the upgrade, so maybe I'm just not understanding how this works yet.

So do I now have 7.3's registration as well then or something? If so, why would I need that if I upgraded to 7.4?

I'd like comfirmation on this as well...I just upgraded to 7.4, and lost my 7.1 license.

I was also under the impression that whatever license was put on my ilok would run both 7.4 and 7.1, and that doesn't seem to be the case.

I've searched all around the support area and I can't find a definitive statement about this issue. If anyone knows where that is, please post a link.

This is potentially problematic, first of all, because I have a session tonight, and now besides simply ordering and downloading the upgrade, I have to install it, install the updates, and cross my fingers that it all works AND that I know how to use it...there are a few new key commands and such.

I would much rather play with new updates for a few days, and do my work on the established version till I'm sure everything is ready to go.

Also, I save ghost backups of my C drive software builds. If, for any reason I load an earlier build with PT 7.1 installed ... I can't run it. This is an annoyance.
