Default Kush Audio UBK-1

Here's my review of the Kush Audio UBK-1:

I got the demo, went out to the studio, and tried some presets on the drum bus and mix bus.
I sprinted back into the house and bought the full license.
It's 1/2 price ($149.00) until Friday.
I'd have been as happy if I'd paid the full $299.00.
Simply put...it's a great plug-in.

Thanks for the review, EJ, I was contemplating this plugin.

By any chance, do you have the UBK Fatso and does the plug sound similar?

I used to have a Fatso, kicking myself for getting rid of it!
That said, the plug wasn't designed to sound like the Fatso, it's a whole new world.
Take a peek at the instructional vids...very informative stuff.

yup, met greg at namm,
demo'd that nite,
saw the half price promo,
and haven't not used on a sesh since.

drums; no brainer,
but also useful to parallel bass,
even ac gtrs, or vox, when you need a bit of grind.

also bueno on subs, or the master,
in place of,
or complementing, heat (thanx ej!),
vcc, and all the other plugs of color.

e

e.p.s. really great to see guys like greg, sean costello, steven slate, dave hill, paul frindle, and other indies seriously raise the bar for us all!

It's true.
I was reluctant to rave about UBK-1, for fear that everyone would start using it
It's a lovely little beast.
