These updates are recommended for all Pro Tools 6.4 TDM and LE users, in addition to the separate 6.4cs6 Plug-In Update available from the same index page.

In addition to all previous fixes from 6.4cs1 through cs5...

Pro Tools LE 6.4cs7 for Mac OS X contains the following:

Fixed: When Importing or browsing OMF media that referenced certain SD II files, Pro Tools Would Crash (Item #51931)
  • Pro Tools 6.4 crashes when importing an OMF or browsing OMF media containing SDII audio with a .OMF extension.
Fixed: Problems when Relinking SD II media containing a .omf extension (Item #51955)
  • Pro Tools 6.4 fails to relink, or crashes when attempting to relink SD II audio with a .OMF extension. Prior workaround was to use Pro Tools 6.2.3.
Fixed: Sample-Rate Error messages when importing an OMF (Item #49709)
  • When importing certain OMFs, Pro Tools would display the error, "Could not create a new document because: an unexpected error happened while trying to determine the file’s audio sample rate." Prior workaround was to use DigiTranslator 1.x.
Fixed: Crash when importing OMF's generated with Adrenaline-based Media Composers (Item #53149)
  • Pro Tools may crash when importing an OMF generated by more recent versions of Media Composer.
Fixed: On-line records using MTC could result in files being removed from the session after stopping (Item #51422)
  • When recording on-line using MTC, the message "Some regions were removed from the timeline or region list because they referred to files which are too short" would appear after stopping, with the new files removed from the session.
Please see the individual download pages for the complete list of included fixes.

Default Pro Tools LE 6.4cs7 Updt- Tech Support question

I have an AM3 installed and an Mbox connected to a MD DP 1.25, occasionally switching between OS9 and OSX. Before version 6.4 i had no problem doing this. Now I must physically remove the AM3 in order for 6.4 to see the mBox. It just says "Digidesign Hardware Not Found".....

Is there any way around this? I would like to not have to remove the card everytime.

Thanks

Default Re: Pro Tools LE 6.4cs7 Update

I just installed the older PT 6.2, would anyone tell me (since I'm just starfting out with the MBox Factory Package, if they would "hold off" on updating? Plus I was prompted (Mac G4 Powerbook w/Glygh firewire HD) after installation: &"launching ProTools: it said,"The
component DFX Chorus expired on Jan 13,2004. Please update your copy" I can't find that update. Any comments would be helpful. I'm still at OS 10.3.4 Thanks
