ACON has my admiration, they make good stuff with a low price tag. Restoration suite, Equalize, Reverberate, and the free Multiply are all worth picking up.

Yeah the Sonnox Restoration plugins have come down in price very recently.

But it is also currently on sale, as JFreak is saying, making it even cheaper for the moment.

Hi guys,
One thing I haven't heard anyone mention yet is latency. Do any of these plugs cause latency on PT11? I'm considering Acon and Rx5.

Thanks.

Most restoration plug-ins are not meant to be used live. There are a few exceptions, I think the RX Dialog Denoiser doesn't cause a huge amount of latency.

Thanks for the reply. I was needing mostly the hum and buzz removal features for mic cable and amp noise etc. (grounding?) Are those not meant to be used real-time either?

I'm not sure about the de-hum plug-in, but it's just a series of notch filters. You can easily do that in real time with any decent EQ plug-in.

I'm not familiar with a de-buzz plug-in, can you be more specific?

I don't think there is an actual de-buzz plug-in, but I think a lot of the de-hum plug-ins claim they can also take out buzz and other noises too. I think the Wavearts one says they can do that. And I think Rx5 too.

Melodyne for hum removal? I've got Melodyne. Didn't know it could do that.
