Default Mbox hardware is missing from Playback Engine list.

Hello,

I've been trying to figure this out for hours now and have read many forums, but am unable to get an answer for myself.

I'm unable to select the Mbox 003 from my Playback Engine list. I'm using Pro Tools 11, but it was also a problem in 10.

Thanks for any help

Did you install the driver for it? They are standalone drivers since PT9.

I installed the top driver, is that correct?

Yes, the one at the top from October is the correct driver.
Also, on your system you should be using the most recent version of Pro Tools 11 (v11.2.1), available in your Avid account.

Ive experienced a similar issue with a few MBox Pro 3 / IMac systems Ive put together.
The only "fix" Ive found, was power cycling the computer, again after the initial fireing up of the system.

If you find a fix please post!

best of luck,
Sean

Try waiting longer after you've turned the Mbox Pro on before you turn the iMac on. 15-20 seconds. If you have any other firewire components daisy chained, turn the one closest to the computer on first.
