Default Installed PT7, now my MIDI Controller is buggy.

Hey, I have two Macs. A 12'inch powerbook that I've had since May 03 and a new 20' iMac which I bought two days ago.

I've been using Reason on my 12inch for quite sometime with a USB powered Korg Microkontrol keyboard. Everything has been fine.

Then I installed ProTools 7 on my iMac.

I proceded to plug in my Microkontrol into the new iMac and once I did so, all the lights went on (which they normally do) but they STAYED on.

THEN, when I turned Reason on, it didn't auto detect the MIDI controller like it ALWAYS does. I tried to "detect control surfaces" and it wouldn't even detect that the MicroKontrol was plugged in! All the while the lights are still full on.

I thought it was my iMac, so I tried changing USB wires and I went through 3 including a brand new one, no luck.

I then decided to plug it into my trusty Powerbook which I've been using this inconjunction with for months and sure enough all the lights stayed on as soon as I plugged it in. (I had installed ProTools 7 on this computer as well).

I turned on Reason 3.0 and the lights went off and worked fine.

So I tried doing some thinking on my own and went to my librarys preferences on my Powerbook and copied the controllers preferences and sent them to my Imac. I then pasted them into the Preferences folder and now my keyboard was able to be detected once I SCANNED for it.

Remember it still wasn't able to be autodetected (plug and play) like it always has been.

Now the controller still works with Reason on both computers just fine. It's just now when Reason isn't running the lights are fully on.

The only variable in this equation is Pro Tools 7 which I had just installed on both computers and began having this problem.

Any ideas?
