THIS exactly but you will have VE Pro to fall back on... Perfect solution in my eyes

Also read Spectrasonics are on board for AAX... So with them, Toontrack, and Native Instruments I am about covered for VI's

I can just use the VSTi versions in VE Pro for the odd VI here and there

Just got an email back from Blue Cat Audio - they will be updating their AAX plugs to 64 bit. The email said they actually have 64 bit support in their AAX format plugs but it hasn't been released to the public because PT11 isn't out yet. Their current AAX plugs are still 32 bit.

I was worried about ik and nomad plugs but magma now will route vst plugs through it and it is aax. So that means it would essentially be a vst wrapper like VE pro but for plugs. Don't we get the vst version for most plugs we bought as rtas? Anyone have it to try?

G-Force are not porting any of their existing instruments to aax for now. They may revisit the issue in the future. I'm putting more details into a new thread to alert any other G-Force users of the situation.

G-Force recommends we pressure Avid into allowing SugarBytes to release their VST to AAX wrapper that they were working on.

Is anyone else in my situation who is still excited for 64 bit AAX?
Well stated. I totally agree. I'm very excited for this release.

Did the same thing and agree completely. Ready for change, have always been.

Me too. They have very often released updates 1st day of a month, so 1-MAY probably comes too soon and 1-JUN would be late. Perhaps this time Avid and Waves have same release dates

That is the beauty of AAX SDK because plugin vendors have been able to create 64-bit plugins for some time now. Only that it would not have made sense to release such plugins nobody can use.

I am only hoping that they will keep releasing 32-bit AAX as well, because PT10 probably don't like the 64-bit version
