Digi INIT crashes system launch

System is 9600/Mix plus OS 9.0.4 PT 5.1.1 has worked fine up to installing a ATTO Express PCI PSC SCSI card. Card has been flashed. Extensions begin to load but system crashes when loading Digi INIT (second Extension). Same problem in any 9600 ( I have several). Problem does not occur on a beige G3 with identical software. As soon as the card is removed (5th slot)system boots without problems. Thoughts ??????
