MTRX Sources - >Trinnov MC16 Dante ->MTRX Out routing ??s

I trying to route a few different sources from MTRX over Dante to a single input set on the MC 16 Trinnov.

Then send the Optimized output from the MC16 back to the MTRX over Dante and assign that to a DA output to the monitors.

The goal is to be able to switch sources going into the Trinnov via DadMan/MOM controller rather than the Trinnov UI.

I can't seem to figure out how to stick the Trinnov in between the SOURCES and an OUTPUT in DadMan over Dante. Is this possible?

Pretty sure that you need to do the routing in Dante controller.

In the MTRX send 16 outputs from Digilink to Dante 1-16 transmit.
Connect MTRX Dante transmit channels in Dante controller to MC16 Receive 1-16.
Then connect MC16 Transmit Channels to MTRX Dante Receive channels.
Then route the Outputs to your speakers (analogue or digital).

Thanks - unless I misunderstand - that suggested routing works only for a single source - the 16 Digilink channels in your example. I have 4 sources I'd like to send to the Trinnov (3 x 9.1.4 and 1x Stereo)

I'd like to use the MOM Controller to switch between the 4 Source sets going to the Trinnov.

One way to do it would be -

Define your sources in DADman,.

Define a monitor outputs for the 16 channels of dante to your trinnov. You will then need to route your MTRX transmit channels to your trinnov receive channels in dante controller.

In dante controller you can then route 16 channels of trinnov transmit to MTRX receive for the returns back from your trinnov.

Then back in the DADman routing matrix, you can route the appropriate 16 dante input channels to the appropriate analogue outputs to your monitors. Basically just using your MRTX for dante to analogue format conversion.


This will put the DADman monitor section before your trinnov. DADman really needs an insert section in monitor profiles. A place between source selections and monitor outputs to stick things like room processing.

100% THIS.

This setup works - the key was I needed to remove the original 9.1.4 Monitor output to the speakers. That lets me use the Output to send to the Trinnov and then direct patch in DadMan from Trinnov out to DA out - thank you!
