how to patch the 8ch FoH analog input to protools.

I have 48ch stagerack.
I want to have 56 channels on one gig, so I´m using the FoH 8 lineinputs as extra inputs.
How do I patch these in protools without messing with the standard 48 protools channels.

I want it to be easy to switch between stage and HD inputs.

Is there any good documentation on venue/protools patching, with keyboard shortcuts e.t.c.

Patrik,
In the patchbay you have 16 HDx assignables that can be utilized for this purpose. Once you have those 8 FOH rack inputs routed to input channels on the console, go to Patchbay, select the Directs tab, and then select the Pro Tools tab. Clicking on the Pro Tools tab will show you the 16 HDx assignables that can then be routed from any of the input channel direct outs. Hope that helps!
