It's an apex 450. Maybe not the best mic in the world but sounds pretty good for $200.00. So far I've had fun with it.

I have an Apex 460 and two 435's that I like alot. I'd like to hear the 450 though.

I recorded electric guitar with it the other day right beside my old trusty AKG 414B-ULS and it sounded very good a little hotter than the akg but still very good. I can't say I would choose one over the other in a taste test. And on vocals it sounded warm and full. I also used it as a room mic for drum set about 10 feet back about 6 feet off the floor and it sounded better than all my close mics combined. So what the hey.
