questions about crossing grading
Hi, Im currently on PTHD 11.
I apparently need to re-instate my license to ultimate. I like HD11, this pisses me off hugely. Question 1: Does re-instating give me pro tools ultimate for life, or just for one year? Question 2: If I re-instate to PT Ultimate from HD11, do I have to surrender my pt hd 11 ilok license? Question 3: When I try to upgrade, I keep getting errors stating "Verify your account Sorry, your account can't be used in Avid Store. Please contact support." Any ideas? Is the avid store down at the moment? I want both licenses you see. Thanks Rob |

Reinstatement means you get on active Support and Update Plan for 12 months. It does not affect your perpetual license status, it will stay perpetual and keep working after the 12 months of support plan is over. But without support plan you will not get updates which means you better "renew" your support plan before it expires. But rest assured if you fail to do so, PT license will still authorise PT software whatever version you are running at that time.

AFAIK you surrender your old license but will be granted PT10/11/12/current license bundle, You might want to double check this from Avid.

Gotcha.
Now please explain to me, what is up with Avid's online store? It won't let me buy anything and keeps asking me to contact avid support which we all know you cannot do without a support code LOL |

Lots of problems lately. Beats me. Lately we've been escalating customer cases more than answering real questions.
