Default CoreAudio Manager Bug

Hello All!

We are having problems with our CoreAudio Manager. We are unable to switch the sample rate, even by using the Audio and MIDI Configuration app on mac OS X.

For example, the sample rate is set to 44100 and we decide to switch our main clock to 48000. When this is done, the sample rate in the CoreAudio Manager is still 44.1 K and if I open the Audio and MIDI Configuration, I am able to switch it. But if I close the Audio and MIDI Configuration and open it again, it has gone back to 44.1 K and of course it has no effect on the CoreAudio preferences.

We have tried deleting the audio preferences and restarting the system but the same bug remains. However, we are able to switch the CoreAudio Manager's sample rate settings by opening Logic Audio and selecting the desired sample rate there and then quitting.

I do not know if any of you have had this same problem, but we'd welcome your help greatly.

Thanks a bunch!

Hi,

This is usually when another app is running and using the coreaudio, itunes/snapper or anything that uses audio.

Default Re: CoreAudio Manager Bug

This happens when no other app is running actually.
