Default Virtual instrument freezing?

Sorry if this has been addressed:

This is most frequently occurring when doing a bounce with Garritan player (CFX Lite), but I've also had it happen on Air Xpand.

After doing a bounce the VI will not play anymore. I have to deactivate the VI and then reactivate and then it's fine until after the next bounce.

Macos 12.3.1 and the latest version of Pro Tools, although it happened with the earlier versions.

I don't remember this happening on Big Sur
