Angry "Assertion" problem

Hello i'm running a PT Hd 7.3.1 on a G5 and just this morning i started having this message:

Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/vb_cliff/AlturaPorts/DFW/Macbuild/../Views/UMenu.MacOS.cpp" line 922

it happens only (for now) when i click on the grid menu just above the timeline...
and it happens only if the grid is set to Bars&Beats.
everything works fine with the grid set in the other positions...

i've removed the prefs, repaired the permissions, tried a few internal and external hard drives...
Nothing new installed on the computer and it worked fine since today for a long time!!!

help please....

Hi,

Usually a digi database issue. have you definitely deleted all the database files completely! try doing it again with this app..

http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread.php?t=190122

also try using save copy in and create a new session! it might just be this session has become corrupted somehow.

Chris

Hi,

Works for me fine! did you save a working set first? then when you restore you just select the prefs you want to restore and go.

Yes I hit the option to backup prefs, then I delete them, then I go to restore but it tells me there is no backup file... When I look, I can see the pref backup file there but this app isn't reading it...

If gotten pretty quick at resetting my prefs at this point anyway but with all the issues I am having with version 8.0.4. I seem to be doing this every other day.

Thanks!
