Default CD ID Tags?

Hi:
I have a live recording thats a solid 45 minute track. I don't want to break it up into individual files for each song. Is there a way to identify the individual tracks (during mixing in ProTools or burning in iTunes) for the CD player to recognize? Or do I need another piece of software?
Chris

Unfortunately PT doesn't have a feature like that....I wish it did too. I guess if you don't want to break it up into seperate sessions, just make your bounces the length of the tracks and it will seem as though it had track markers.

I've done several live recording CDs. Jam/Toast does it. Just import the long file in PT, then separate it into regions of each song, then use "Export Regions as Files". Then you load them into Jam, set a 0-length pause between songs and burn.

If you need to add plugins for EQ, etc, it gets a bit more complicated as you then have to use audiosuite versions of the plugins before you export them.

Just remember that exporting regions as files does not process the plugins on the track.

Alternately, you could simply bounce each song separately, then use Jam, but that will probably take longer than the way I describe above.

If you don't want to buy Jam/Toast, I have heard of people doing similar things with Audacity, which is free, but I don't use it so can't say if it will do it or not.
