Help downloading PT 12 to a 2nd computer

I downloaded Pro Tools 12.7 from my products list. I activated the license on a different laptop and now I am trying to load it on my desktop. I have an iLok and when I try to open Pro Tools on my desktop it brings up the iLok activate screen. When I click activate and enter my iLok credentials it says that I don't have any available licenses.

Can anyone help me. I swear I did this with Pro Tools 11 a couple of years ago and didn't have any issues.

Can you run one license on multiple machines?

Anyway, thanks for any help anyone may have.

you sure can run One License on several machines .. i do it here .. Mac or PC ?? i am only on MAC so cannot help with PC ..

As of PT 12.6 (I think) you needed to surrender your old PT license and replace it with a new asset. Open the iLok License Manger, log into your account and check to see if the new(er) license is there, if not, you'll have to lodge a case with support.

This has to happen before you can use PT 12.7.

Yes, look into your iLok account. You hopefully will find the new license there.

It sounds like you don't have your iLok inserted into the usb port. Or maybe you have it plugged into a USB 3 port. If that is the case, you have to use a USB2 hub plugged into the 3 port, and plug the iLok into that. The USB 3 issue has been known for years.

You can have PT on as many computers as you like. You do not have to activate it on every computer. As long as the PT 12.7 licence is active on your ilok, whichever computer you plug it into, PT will be authorised. If you want to run PT on multiple computers at the same time, you will have to purchase extra licences and iloks.
New ilok licences came in for PT12.6. So if you have an older version, you use ilok manager to swap and activate the newer licences on your ilok. You only have to do this once.
