PT 8.0.4 random errors

Hi!

My PT 8.0.4 is acting really wierd.
Buffer size errors, stops passing audio, clicks and pops, distorts, clock problems etc.

PLZ Help!
I've tried everything from going back to XP to going thru Avid's optimzation list to inactiviating soundcards etc.
Nothing works PT is still acting wierd.

disable the nvidia video driver and uses the windows default driver....i have nearly the same system has you and had the same problems....thats what helped me.....

Where is your separate hard drive for recording?

I have the same computer with the exact same problems. Have also tried with an external harddrive but with no luck. Hope that someone at digidesign reads this and can come up with a solution. The problem is urgent. I have about 80 students who's got this laptop and needs to work with protools.

Regular advice:
Disable wireless and regular network.
You need a separate drive for Audio.
Nvidia graphics driver, as mentioned.
