Default 4 mono tracks, same input, waveform ht different

I am recording the same input to 4 mono audio tracks simultaneously.
The mono tracks are set up with the same inputs and the same outputs.
The volumes are all set to zero.
The tracks are all set to medium height.
Everything I know of is set exactly the same.
There are no trim plug-ins, no automation data.

When I record, the peak level on all 4 tracks reads the same. So, apparently, the same signal is going to each track (which is what should be happening).

Yet................when I look at the waveforms on the 4 mono tracks, two track waveforms are identical. On the other 2 tracks, the waveforms have lower height (and they are identical to each other).

When I zoom in, all the waveforms get taller, but the relative heights stay the same: two waveforms taller than the other two.

When I look at voices allocated, it shows 72 of 128.............not a problem.

When I run the outputs thru DAC's to analogue meters, all 4 tracks are at the same levels.

When I copy a region in a "lower waveform height" track and paste it into a "higher waveform track", the lower waveform increases to the taller height. So, the issue is purely visual.........one track shows the same level as a taller waveform. It appears I am zoomed in on some tracks, not others. Have I accidentally zoomed in on some tracks but not others?? I thought the zoom function worked on all audio tracks.

I'm obviously missing something.

How can this be?????

What the heck is goin on???

It's a zooming thing... It's a new feature that I think causes more problems than it's worth. I believe you can also double-click on the zoomer tool and all tracks will go to the same vertical and hroizontal size.

Where in the manual do you find this? I don't see anything about zooming on a single audio track (although I do find this for MIDI and instrument tracks).

Also, where do you find something on returning all audio tracks to the same zoom?

Yes, this is a feature that I could do without.........confusing, to me at least.

Continuous Zoom. Page 252.

It allows you to zoom individual tracks Vertically. Don't like this feature. It lets you have different waveform heights for different tracks regardless of level. Very Confusing.

I use the zoomer buttons, but I've never used the zoomer tool (that I know of). So I don't know how I got here. But, anyway................

Is it correct that double clicking on the zoomer tool will take all the audio tracks to the same zoom?

Double clicking on the zoom tool does not appear to be bringing all audio tracks back to the same zoom.

What do I need to do?

If double-clicking on the zoom tool does not bring all your tracks (that were recored from the identical input source) to the same height then there must be some other problem. Not related to zoom height. Could be recorded at different levels.

If your tracks truly are recorded at different levels from what you describe there must be something else going on here. Try the ususal troubleshooting stuff. Trashing prefs... etc.

Option-A and double clicking the zoom tool do it here.
