OT: IDE controller card recommendations??
hey DUC'ers. i am setting up my system for a 3rd hard drive that will be a clone of my system drive. my plan is to scheduled nightly bkups of the system drive with CASPER XP (it does incremental bkups w/v3.0) thru WIN XP. i read allen's post in BEST DESKTOPS and wanted to know if the PROMISE controller is still the way to go??? and from a performance standpoint should i have the system drive on IDE1 by its' lonesome?? and then put my audio drive and the backup system drive on the card??? right now, my config has both drives on IDE1 with the audio drive on the last ribbon connector. is this config costing me some performance?? i appreciate the knowledge you are about to hit me with!! thanks...mykhal
