Default Yet another monitor thread -- best $500 pair?

Looking to spend about $500 on a new set of powered monitors. I'm considering the M-Audio BX8, Tapco S8 or the Event TR8. I'm particularly interested in deep accurate low frequency response.

Thoughts/Experience/Oppinions.

Thanks.

Best is subjective; you really need to listen to them all yourself and decide which are best for your purposes.
That said, you should put the Samson Resolv80a on your list of monitors to try out. Not saying they are the best, but I have them, I like them, they work for me and what I do.

Adam is releasing a new pair, ANF-10. They are passive and can be had in Europe for less than 500 a pair. I haven't listened to them yet, but I seriously plan on getting them, based on the manufacturer's reputation.

the BX8 goes very low (37 Hz according to the specs, my ears agree), you won't need a subwoofer to feel confortable with it. The high-end is a bit aggressive but you can tweak it. Haven't tried the others.

Thanks. I'd heard that the BX8's can be a bit harsh in the high end. I think they all spec out about the same to be honest. I'm sort of leaning toward the TR8's at the moment. I'll have to audition them again.
