Editing Portamento in PT edit window?
How can I manually create a portamento slide from one note to another in a given time frame? I'd like to learn how to do this in the Pro Tools edit window rather than play it in real time and figure out how to program the Xpand!2 portamento to go at the correct speed (and, incidentally, the Xpand!2 synth doesn't even seem to have portamento functionality, even though it's a mono bass patch).
Basically, I want a synth bass note to swoop up from G to C in the course of an eighth note and I can't seem to make it happen.

Re: Editing Portamento in PT edit window?
You could try pitch bend, but you might no be able to change it's range to more than 2 half steps.
Do you have the free version of sampletank? That has portamento Even Structure Free has portamento (glide) and control over the pitch bend range... It lists the glide rate as a percentage, so maybe that means as a percentage of a beat... If so then 50% should = 1/8 note, I guess
