Default wont bounce to disk (strange)

Bounced 2 tracks already this morning, opened up a 3rd session from a few years ago (all 3 were) originally sessions were 24 bit and imported data into new 16 bit session. All is fine there, but when I went to bounce the 3rd...The bounce starts (Offline) and completes a 3:30 song in about 2 secs. That would be awesome but we all know it dosent work like that. I imagine something is jacked in the settings but cant figure it out. I've tried to create a new Master and drag all plugs there, no go. Tried to change output, no go. When I tried to bounce Real time, no master fader action. Its like its bouncing from an empty track. Trashed prefs and all already. Any ideas?

Is there a reason you are importing the 24 bit session into a 16 bit session, rather than doing the bounce in the original session? Have you tried doing the bounce in the original session, applying a dither plugin to the master fader? If that works, it might suggest something went wrong with the conversion on the import into the 16 bit session, and you could try that import again.

For some reason an update either from the Saphire pro 40 or PT has created a problem with 24bit playback. Im sure its the Saphire cuz the error msg but yeah I get no love at 24 bit. All tracks created in 24 have to be imported to new sessions. I hope its not an import issue. I made a few adjustments and well ugh...

I would try the import again, fingers crossed. Could have been a hiccup, since you said it worked fine on the first two sessions.

Sounds like your bigger problem is with the Sapphire not playing back a 24 bit session. You may try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for it. Maybe you could roll back to an earlier driver if their website has one for download.
