XP Freeze - Help! - Avid Pro Audio Community

XP Freeze - Help!

My system runs great overall, but I'm having problems with my system freezing whenever I do one of the following:

1) Boot my PC with a CD in my Plextor CDRW drive
2) Open Nero with a CD in my Plextor CDRW drive

Does anyone know what might be causing this? Any help would be appreciated.

Maxtor 30 GB, Maxtor 60 GB drives
Promise Ultra100Tx2 controller card
Plextor 24X CDRW
Creative 52X CDROM
512MB DDR Ram
Matrox G450 32MB video card
