Default Autotune Pro causing spinning beachball every 5 minutes or so?

Hey all,

Autotune Pro is causing Pro Tools to hang momentarily every 5 minutes or so when I have the plugin on a track and I'm working in graphical mode. You get the spinning beachball for 20 seconds or so and then it resumes playback as normal. It seems to happen when AutoTune is writing some .dat file to the new AutoTune Pro folder as the timings of the last .dat file and the hangs correspond exactly. It's super frustrating as it really kills your work flow.

Is any one else experiencing this problem and if so do you know how to get round it? The last few versions of Autotune have all done my head in tbh I wish we could go back to v.8.

I know there's Melodyne but I've spent decades getting really good at AT graphical and don't want to have to re-learn.

It’s tough to try and help when you’ve provided ZERO system info. Mac/PC? What EXACT operating system, and what EXACT version of Pro Tools? System specs?

Don't shoot the messenger, but...

In most cases those who have changed iLok auth to auth of their own are behaving badly. One of the reasons I will not even consider trying anything Antares or Waves any more. Systems are much more stable if you use iLok auth only.

One exception to this rule is Plugin Alliance.

Is it *exactly* every 5 minutes? And is that the increment you're using for session auto-backups? I know it shouldn't take that long to save the backup file but that doesn't mean that it's not the culprit.
