Yes, agreed. Kenny Gioia did a good test a while back. It is all documented on the DUC and pretty much corroborates what OG says. I have tried to justify buying a summing mixer, and just before I pull the trigger, I reread Kenny's study and back off..... and will also save OG's post for a future deterrent.lol SB

I don't know of any 8 channel A-D box with AES out other than the RME ADI-192 DD.

Cable length isn't an issue, it's all relatively short runs.

Mytek, Lavry, Apogee, Prism, SSL, and Lynx all make converters with multi-channel AES in and out. Cranesong, API, Millennia, and Grace all make multichannel mic preamps with A/D converters built into them that have AES outputs.

Hopefully you listened to the test for yourself and didn't just "read" it.

I still use my Folcrom thru my TG2 on every mix.

Would I buy it again? Not sure but I'm also not selling it.

Yes, of course I listened. Did the test 2 times and was pretty consistent in my choices. I determined that they were all "good" and that the ITB mix was no better.... and no worse. Just different. But I still read it whenever I get the urge to "change". I know guys who swear by them and those that swear at them. I do really appreciate your taking the time to create that for us. SB

Not a problem. Although I did it as much for me as anyone.

I was actually using my Neves all the time until I ran the test.

Thanks
