Help record click track, All I get-solid blue line
When I insert Click into Audio track it plays fine but when I R-enable the track the level indicator lights up with steady yellow line (not clipping), the click is heard when recording but the resulting recording is a solid blue line without any click during playback.
This happens quite often even when I plug other instruments (guitar, keys) Is there a simple solution to this? |

Re: Help record click track, All I get-solid blue line
Try inserting the Click plug into a channel insert of a AUX track and Buss the Output to the Input of an Audio track.

Re: Help record click track, All I get-solid blue
The main problem is that when I record the click I get this thick blue line instead of click pulse i want to see. WHen I record enable the track the level indicator registers a signal which is "recorded" as a solide blue line. And I get no input from other real instruments. This happens quite often and really pisses me off. |

Re: Help record click track, All I get-solid blue
I've already told you how to solve the Click issue.
How are you routing this Instrument and what Digidesign Hardware are you using? filosofem

Re: Help record click track, All I get-solid blue
Actually the click is recorded, only it is very faint. On the track it appears as thick blue line with tiny peaks where the click plays.
Right now I have to restart TP every 10 -15 min because the sound totally disapears. I have mBox2 PT 7.0 To be honest I am really confused about routing despite reading all kind of books and artilces, I just can't visualise it. |

Re: Help record click track, All I get-solid blue
Using a quarter inch cable plug your Instrument into the Source 1 Input of the Mbox 2 and select 'Inst'. Turn the Gain knob right down and turn the Playback knob to Playback.
Create yourself a new mono Audio track and assign the Audio tracks Input selector to Source 1. Record arm the Audio track and slowly bring up the Gain knob on the Mbox 2, playing your instrument and setting the level for about half way up the meter. 'Latency' In the Setup>Playback Engine set the H/W Buffer Size to 256 Samples and the CPU Limit to 85-90% Press Record and play something. Once done, go back to the Playback setting and this time set the H/W Buffer Size to 1024 Samples and the CPU Limit to about 65% and press Playback. How did you go? filosofem

Re: Help record click track, All I get-solid blue
Alright, I plugged the instrument into DI input (there is no intr.) 1 in mBox and selected DI.
I can hear the instrument in my headphones. I created a new audio track mono. When I record-arm it I hear a pop and the steady yellow line shows in the level indicator. I record - nothing happens exept this signal line "recorded" which I cant hear. I tried the 2 input thinking that there is something wrong with the first - same story. |

Re: Help record click track, All I get-solid blue
Ok then, ummm... have you checked the AnswerBase and have you tried the Troubleshooting thread? Once you have done that try re-installing the software and try another USB cable. If still no success shoot DigiTechSupt an email describing your problem and what you have done thus far to try and fix it.
Good luck. filosofem

Re: Help record click track, All I get-solid blue
Thanks, man.
I think I found a solution - restart computer use PT and then do the same when it craps out. |

Re: Help record click track, All I get-solid blue
The same happens when I use mBox with garageband!
When arming a track to record I hear a pop and a steady inaudible "signal" in the level meter. No instrument heard. The only way to resolve this is to restart the computer. The problem must be with the mBox or more likely with the driver. Should I reinstall the PT? Thanks |
