Default Avid Link constantly installing GrooveCell and SynthCell 2024.1
What's with Avid Link for Mac constantly trying to install nonexistant 2024.1 versions of GrooveCell and SynthCell? Even the Avid downloads page is screwed up.

Yeah, both Mac and Win versions of Link share the same update mechanism in that if an update is issued even just for Windows, Link on Mac thinks there's an update too. In this case there isn't. Rather shortsighted to not consider the effect on the user. I'd turn off the auto-install function or remove Link from being a startup item and just run it manually whenever you want to check for updates.

Now I just feel stupid. I ran and reran the installs for GrooveCell and SynthCell about 30 times on each of my machines thinking one of these times the update will take. You know the saying...doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome. My OCD keeps me falling for that Avid Link notification again. I forgot to uninstall Avid Link when updating to 2023.12.1.

Hi Off The wall - our Avid Link devs are already aware on this and they are already fixing the issue. The 2024.1 update was intended for Windows users.

Hi Off the wall - This is all good. The MAC version for GrooveCell and SynthCell has been fixed.
