Importing iPad video to MP 8.0.5

I'm just beginning the learning process on how after I've videoed a singer singing to a session, I'd then bring the video into PT to edit, mix and all that stuff!!! I've never tried this before and I'm looking for the path to take!! I'm figuring at some point I'd need to sync the video to the session data, and I've no idea on that process at this point in time! I've got a feeling this wormhole could go pretty deep!! Thank you for any help in getting started. Richrdc
