Sync HD with Pro Tools 9

I´m using a Sync HD to generate LTC. Since PT HD 8 and even now with
PT 9 I´m getting error messages about the Video Sync. "video sync lost"
"the video sync is now present"
Sometimes the error messages show up after some hours sometimes every minute.
There is no Video Sync connected to the Sync HD I need the LTC for my studer
that`s all...

But it is not very funny having those errors during a mixdown....

Any idears ??

What's your clock source set to? It should be either Internal, or Word if you're using an external master clock source like an Antelope/Apogee/etc... If you've got no video source hooked up to the video sync, you might try just placing a 75-ohm terminator on the video and ref input of the Sync - I guess it's conceivable that the input is picking up enough interference that it's detecting it as a 'valid' source.

Thanks for the tip. With a resistor on the sync input none of the error messages showed up today.
