Default .WAV files from Avid DS?

Hi all - does anyone know if the 7.4 update for Pro Tools allows it to read the .WAV files exported from Avid DS version 8.4? It's not working in Pro Tools 7.2. Apparently, they've updated the .WAV export from DS to some newer version of the .WAV spec (according to DS tech support in Montreal), and the files are no longer recognized by Pro Tools. Quicktime and Windows Media Player have no problem with them, however. .AIF and OMF still work, but it's sometimes a more convenient workflow to just export a single multichannel .WAV for processing in Pro Tools. If needed, I can supply sample files.
Thanks!

It's kind of a shame that Avid's high-end finishing and compositing product's WAV files won't be read by Pro Tools... Help! We're upgrading to 7.4 shortly, and I'm really hoping that this will be fixed.

try opening the WAV files in Quick Time and use Get Info to look at the sample rate and bit-depth

I'm thinking that the WAV files might be 32 bit or some other nonstandard incarnation

Nope, they're standard 24-bit 48K .WAV files. I'm really confused as to what they might have changed in the file header, but they just won't import. There shouldn't be anything non-standard about them, but there obviously is. Vegas, Windows Media Player, and Quicktime will all play them fine.
