Default audio sampling

i am having quality issues with the audio that i am sampling using the the standard audio import function in pro tools.

can someone recommend the best way of sampling at a higher quality (this could be something i need to buy or another way within my existing setup which only has the ignition pack plug ins)

What is the issue? Describe your method and what it sounds like.

It would also be helpful to say what Pro Tools hardware you are using. Also, what speakers?

Wen you say "import", are you importing a file or are you digitizing an audio source?

yeah what i'm tryna do is import various types of music on mp3 or off cd to cut and use myself.

i have an mbox2 and yamaha HS50M monitor speakers. when using the audio there is a quiet high freq buzz and dat gets worse if more than 1 region are playing together.

if this is unavoidable, can you reccommend a better way of attaining or sampling quality audio.
