PT7LE & Shuttle Pro/Express
Ive done some searching on the DUC and there does'nt seem to be a definative answer on this one
Can the shuttle pro/express be used as a scrub/jog wheel in PT7? - Is it possible to program one button on the unit to enter scrub mode, one to enter jog mode and one to return to normal operation. It says PT6 is 'supported' and my understanding of the way it works in you assign keyboard shortcuts to its buttons so can you assign a scrub/jog funtion even though i don't know of a shortcut. http://www.contourdesign.com/shuttle...ttlexpress.htm http://www.contourdesign.com/shuttlepro/ If not is there anything anyone is using that could be used as a scrub/jog wheel at a reasonable price? |

Re: PT7LE & Shuttle Pro/Express
I have been using the Shuttle Pro along side my Command 8 and 002 Rack.
It works great! You don't have to program any of the buttons to switch the Jog/Scrub mode. The inside wheel is the Scrub, the outside the Jog. (It might be the other way around.) It makes my life easier. I haven't upgrade to PTLE 7 yet, (waiting for some fixes and compatibility with the Quad) but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Peace, M. |

Re: PT7LE & Shuttle Pro/Express
Thanks Magicm thats great.
Just wondering how it is setup. It it seen by PT as a midi controller (ie load drivers setup midi input etc) or is it functioning as a simple left right mouse drag whilst using the scrub tool over specified audio? If its a midi contoller is it as simple a pressing a button to go into scrub/jog mode and then a button to return to normal operation? Thanks |

Re: PT7LE & Shuttle Pro/Express
It is not seen as a midi controller. It is simply a device programed to make some command shortcuts.
As far as the jog/scrub wheel. It is programed (out of the box) to do both, one function on the outer wheel, on function on the inner wheel. There is no need to turn it on or off. Have a great day, M. |

Re: PT7LE & Shuttle Pro/Express
works fine with PTLE 7 - you can remap the buttons and even the shuttle ring to be any key combination, so it's fully customizable but comes with a Pro Tools template right out of the box.
