Disc not Booting.
I am new to Pro tools and when i put in the Pro Tools LE 7 installation disc for my MBOX2 my disc drive dosnt see it. At all. i have tried booting the disc on my lap top with a good outcome so it must be my drive right. The only thing is it can run any other disc you put in it. I recently in stalled Pro Tools M-Powered Demo and i don't know if that messed stuff up. Im running Windows Xp home edition. I dont usually post because i find people with similar problems but this seems to be one that no one talks about. I appreciate any help.

Re: Disc not Booting.
First thing to do is uninstall the M-powered demo(just in case). What happens if you pop in the disk and go to MyComputer, right-click on the CD drive letter and select RUN or OPEN or EXPLORE?

Re: Disc not Booting.
Isn't the 7.4 install disc a DVD? Are you sure you are loading it into a DVD drive? (Could definitely explain why it works in your laptop, but not your desktop )

Re: Disc not Booting.
It acts like a normal drive that is empty. when you open it or explore or anything else its just empty.
I uninstalled it but it is still unable to read the disc. I do have a dvd drive but its a DVD-RW. does the rewritable part mess with the disc? I also in a flury of excitement put in the ilock usb before the disc. Does that have anything to do with my problem? |
