Folders randomly collapsing

Hi,


Has anyone had trouble with folders randomly collapsing? Trying to ride faders while mixing (timeline is playing) and the folder containing my dialog tracks keeps collapsing mid-playback. It's super frustrating.


Using PT Ultimate, HDX system, 2019.6 on a 2013 trash can Mac Pro, Mojave.

Interesting. Never seen that. Did you check for automation? If it’s an automatable function and you closed it while a Write playback was running…? But I do not know if it is automatable.

I'm unaware of it being automatable, especially given that it's not in the automation scope window.

Just curious, Are you running Eucon stuff that might be glitching somehow?

Also Shift-f is the shortcut command to open/close folders. Are you running into a shortcut conflict?

S3 + Dock + iPad Control... pretty standard. And yup, aware of Shift + F shortcut, definitely not hitting that. It's never been a problem until updating to 2021.6 / 2021.7.


Saw on a Facebook group that someone else was having that problem, but perhaps with the lack of response perhaps it's not widespread.

Have not heard of this, and haven't run into it personally; really does sound like some kind of S3/Eucon issue; I can't off the top of my head remember all the Eucon spill/attentioned fader preferences, but you might try disabling whatever you can and see what happens.
