To anyone who has an A7V600 mobo
my brother is buying a new mobo. i gave him the asus a7v333 when i bought the a7v333-x. i use to use it with with my pro tools setup. anyway, the a7v333 is toast now. so i suggested that he buy the a7v600 because it was cheaper then say the a7n8x or deluxe version. he's not using it with a pro tools setup, but just for regular stuff like internet, and games etc...anyway i mentioned that the a7v600 was listed under the the best system for ptle, and he suggested just putting it in my computer with ptle and giving him the a7v333-x. i said he's buying the board, but he doesnt care, if its gonna work better with ptle then why not put it in there? he doesnt mind. my question is, am i gonna see better performance out of it? i mean my setup right now is a7v333-x, amd athlonXP 2600+, 512mb ddr pc2700, and 2 maxtor hard drives. i know the a7v600 has a 400mhz fsb, but dont i need a faster processor to take advantage of it? i really dont know much about mobo's any suggestions?....
