Kontakt and PT

I'm using Kontakt 2.2.4 with PT (7.4)
I held off on version 3 because of all the instability reports I'd heard early on with PT. And 2.2.4 is pretty darn smooth.

Problem I'm having is I can't get PT (7.4) to see more than 1 stereo output from kontakt. It sees all the mono outputs, but not stereo.

Wondering
1. Am I doing something wrong?
2. Did v3 fix this?
3. How is version 3 with PT now?

this happens on version 2 and 3
it does this on a mono track with stereo out of Kontakt
it requires that it is activated on a stereo track for stereo out



If I understand you correctly, you're saying that if set up properly, PT should be able to see more than one stereo channel from Kontakt.

Thing is,
in Kontakt's outputs, I'm given channel output options
st1(1)
st 1(2)

st2(1)
st 2(2)

surr. 5.1 (1)
surr. 5.1 (2)
surr. 5.1 (3)
surr. 5.1 (4)
surr. 5.1 (5)
surr. 5.1 (6)

then the aux channels,
then the "unassigned" mono channels

so for a 2nd stereo channel, i have to choose to send out of 2 mono channels. Then I set up my stereo track in PT, and look for input sources from Kontakt and all I see is
st. 2
aux 1
aux 2
aux 3
aux 4

and the auxes are not usable in this situation.
so i guess, i don't get what you're saying.
