Protools multicore scaling
I often notice that if I use protools with the lowest available latency, my quad intel uses more cpu if I leave 4 processors in the setup. As soon as I change to 1 processor, cpu load considerably less.
I have installed the microsoft hotfix "lightyears" ago, so that cannot be the problem. So the question is: when record something with low buffersize, should I use protools with 1 processor, despite the fact that I have a quad? Tamas Dragon
