Help Pro Tools Locks up

Hi i having trouble with protools locking up, i can us my midi keyboard fine, record, play back and all that, I am using a 002R, but midi i am using a midi sport 4 x 4.

But i want to be able to sync the keyboard to the computer so that delays and appeggio play in time with the song. So i have been selecting in protools for it to send out midi time code to a certain midi output. which is all good, but then when i press something on the keybaord the whole thing locks up.

Any ideas of what this could be

why do you not use the midi on the 002?

i did think about that, but it should work though. It is wierd
