problems with tiger and 6.9.2
my 2.5 G5 ran quite happily before on 10.3.9/6.9
but like the crazy fool that i am i had to go and update! i did an update rather than clean install as i had never had trouble this way before, but this time tiger is now very sluggish, the mac itself is going into overtime- beachball/heavy fan action and i used to run reason, LIVE PT and a bunch of plugs happiley alll the time. now, this combo grinds PT to a snails pace i have way too many apps for a total reinstall so apart from that , any other ideas? anyone else had this problem? thanks all

do you have Virex installed on this machine?Launch the activity monitor app andsee if some process is hogging things.
