HELP!! Firmware update for Digi002r 1.11r

I bought my 002r 2 days ago. When I open PT, it states me to update the firmware from 1.08r to 1.11r. Since my audio computer has no internet access, I cannot simply hit download. I have to download it on my internet computer and install it then on the other computer. I did not find any firmware downloads on the digidesign site. Where do I get this update????

The "download" is from your computer to the 002r. Just click OK when it asks and let it finish the process.

no, I´m afraid it´s not...
I did it, it took about 10 min and then there was a error I can´t remember... but I´ll try it again.
I´m also having a serious problem with the mp3 export - see other thread.

I don't use 002 and I don't think this will make any difference but it won't hurt trying either: load your firmware direct from the folder from which it's stored instead of trying to open PTLE and let it load that way.

ah, Ok, but errrr. where is that folder??? what´s it called?

I'm not at my PT computer now, but I think it's located in: Digidesign -> Pro Tools -> Pro Tools Utilities or something like that.

I bought mine a week ago and have the same problem (though mine is going back to the shop tomorrow because its also faulty, see other thread) When i press OK to download the firmware, it spends about 5 mins and then says it couldnt download it.

Andi, there's always an error when you first try it, even though it actually does the firmware upgrade. Search the Answerbase and you'll see the reason for it--I remember that it has something to do with the fact that since you haven't run PT yet it isn't authorized, which is why that error message comes up. Anyway, you can see that it worked now, so all is good.

BTW, if you ever have to do it again, it won't give that error message since PT is already authorized on your machine. When I upgraded to PT 6.4, the first time I ran it it upgraded the 002R firmware, and although it took a long time, there were no error messages.
