Default How to record to Midi track - Overdubbing instead of destructive record?

Hi..I'm sure this is just an easy setting you can help me with, but before I upgraded to PT9, when I recorded to a midi track.. I could go back over a section and record more notes on the same track without erasing what was already there.. almost like an overlapping or overdub... it simply added the new notes I added...

but now using the same process, when it records the sections, it erases what I already have recorded there instead of simply just adding the notes I want..

can anyone help with this? Much appreciated!
