Well that was to be expected...seriously...it was.

Don't say you had no warning...

10.8 enforces 64-bit kernel extensions, which means all hardware has to have 64-bit drivers in order to boot 64-bit kernel

--> this means 64-bit ProTools
==> no RTAS/TDM but only PT11 and AAX

I can launch Pro Tools 10.0.0 on OSX 10.8 Preview at my MacBook Pro, and it successfully plays the demo song.

Pro Tools is a 32-bit application, but Pro Tools 10 (or even 9) provides 64-bit drivers, so it is not an issue.

Great news! Maybe Avid provides support for PT10 / OSX10.8 after all!

I'd say this VERY likely. Whatever scenario provides them MORE time and covers the most current and new installs is the one they're likely to do.

I can confirm that this is true. I left my Pro Tools in a room with OS 10.8 and when I came back, my Pro Tools was dead. It looked like it had been bit 64 times and had suffered from heavy byte damage.

John_Toolbox, what version of PT are you running. I'm waiting until the next Imac release before i buy, but it will most likely come with OSX 10.8

I was just joking... I still use Snow Leopard on a daily basis. I have a Lion partition for testing but have not had time to test all of my software with it yet. We won't know until 10.8 is actually out.

I realised part of it was a joke, but i thought you might have had a go at a system with the developers release.
