new sync IO vs aardsync II

I think I already saw a discussion on wether an external clock would still be of use or not with the new HD system. but I can't find the thread anymore ... [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img]

my specific Q for digidesign .... please convince me in selling my aardsync II .... I know about the features plus on the sync IO but I don't need them ... so that's NOT going to convince me ...

The internal clock of the new HD system has been greatly improved. While there still are advantages of an outside master clock, it's no longer needed to improve the sound of Digi's clock. The SYNC I/O really is an actual sync-source where the Aardsync is for syncing the digital clock. As I understand it, the new HD system will reference it's clock to an outside clock and sync up it's own internal clock without phase (Phase Lock Loop as they call it I think)...
