hey all,
just wondering if anyone knows how to get the afl solo to come through the centre channel..... to clarify, we're mixing in 5.1, and the afl solo comes back into d-control through one of the stereo inputs. which is fine when we're mixing in stereo, but when mixing dialogue in 5.1, when a channel is soloed it goes from coming through the centre channel to through the left and right channels.... does anyone have a work around for this? can you mono a stereo return? can you send the afl solo through the actual monitor outputs rather than back through another return? thanks tom ps. i posted this orginally in the post forum just out of reflex but realised this might be a better source of help |

I'd just switch to SIP.
Otherwise you'd have to set up another 5.1 path and use 6 more outs and bring them back on a surround input in the xmon. You def can't AFL through the same outs as you monitor and sadly the control surfaces don't have mono switched (at least myt D Command doesn't. Quote:
