Default PTHD 9 crash on quitting

Hi,

I've been experiencing crashes on quitting with PTHD 9. Below is the crash log. It says thread 0 is the crashed thread, but there is no thread 0 that I can see. Can anyone make sense of this for me?

Thanks,

Seth Glassman

The thread 0 is the first one after " Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread"

It looks like it's crashing with BFD2. Have you verified that ALL installed plug-ins are compatible, per the info in the General Troubleshooting thread?

When I updated to 9 earlier this week the installer ran a little app to check for incompatible plugins and returned an OK. I will double check. I updated to the most recent version of BFD 2 earlier today and I later had a couple of crashes.

The installer check is only for the default plug-ins - it doesn't check 3rd party plug-ins or anything that's not installed by the Pro Tools installer.

When you say 'most recent version' - are you using the most recent stable version, or a beta version?

Also, the crash may show up in BFD, but may be caused by other incompatible plug-ins. The General Troubleshooting thread has a reply that explains this and why it's important to verify that all plug-ins are the minimum compatible version listed in our grid. Having even one incompatible plug-in installed, even if it's not used in the session, can cause all kinds of problems.

I went through and manually checked all of my plugins - McDSP Filter Bank and MC2000 were out of date, as were Sound Toys Pitch Blender and Time Blender, so I took them out. I also had a Blue Cat metering plugin that I couldn't find any information for, so I took them out. I updated BFD2 and Melodyne Editor. Everything seems fine now. Thank you!

Excellent! Perfect example of how much plug-ins DO matter!
