Default Routing issues with amplitube 5

I'm having a really hard time trying to figure out why I'm not getting a signal in the amplitube plugin. I've tried switching from ultra low latency to DAW tracking. Nothing. I get a dry signal in ULL mode but amplitube goes straight into bypass mode. DAW tracking gives me nothing at all. The funny thing is, I can record in ULL mode and while I'm recording I hear my dry signal but when I play it back I hear the amplitube tones. I can't hear amplitube at all other than this. So I basically have to just record a dry rack and try and find tones post recording. As far as I know it's properly installed but at this point I'm not sure what else to do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm running into windows 7 pro 64 bit, focusrite liquid saffire 56, focusrite saffire octopre, pro tools 11

Hi welcome to DUC.

You say you are switching between hardware and software monitoring but what exactly are you changing to do that? Are you toggling LLM in Pro Tools as well as settings for the interface hardware mixer?

You *have* to be using software monitoring if you want to monitor though plugins while tracking and you must have LLM disabled. Sounds like you may just have LLM enabled in Pro Tools which will bypass any plugins on tracks with active inputs.

I'm just toggling back and forth in my saffire mix control. So how would a layman go about switching to the necessary setting in pro tools to get me up and running? You'd swear this was my first day but I've been running pro tools for years now. Just never ran into this problem before.

Thanks

uncheck Options>Low Latency Monitoring. All low latency monitoring effectively does is switch off enough of software monitoring so you can use hardware monitoring.

The PDF of the reference guide is already on your system. You can open that and search for explanations of stuff.

Ok. That's what I'll do. Hopefully that does the trick. Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.
