i could use some help here

so i loaded various plug-ins and settings onto my 933 G4 with PT 5.1 w/ 001 runnin on OS9 and then i loaded a Midiman Oxygen midicontroller with the driver cd. then i loaded Reason. i took out a few things on the installer disc for Reason (like cubase & other various apps i didn't think applied)so on so on. i downsized everything in my protools SET (ext./control pnl)for optimal performance. we're talkin bare bones.
now when i try to open PT it stops loading and says there is no hardware or the hardware is being used by something else. i don't get it. i checked out all cables, ext. etc.etc. is the software the problem? and my discretion in omitting certain things? does any of this make any sense? thanks alot erik corriveaux.

I get a simular error if my machine has gone to sleep. Make sure sleep is set to never.

Also, PT has to be started befor other audio programs such as Reason, etc.

You may just need to reinstall if nothing else helps.

Village Green is not saying they won't he is saying you have to simply start the PT application first.
I have had the same problem with the same controller.

Refuse is cool, but I have my rig set up so Reason plays out my mac, through my mixer and into PT on 3&4.

sounds like you have SM digidesign selected as your audio output in Reason.

launch Reason, go to prefs, audio, select built in. Close reason. Reboot. Open PTLE, Then Reason.
