Default AVB Option...

FYI...

I just tested the OWC Thunderbolt PRO dock. The enet port is AVB and PT ran just fine on it. I'm running on a Mac Studio.

I haven't run an all day long working session yet, just some tests. but I did open a few big mix sessions and one with a bunch of VI's and they seem fine...

Carbon Central has no problems with it... yet.

Thats interesting but to clarify you are connecting Carbon to the OWC via ethernet and OWC to mac Studio via TB ?
Wondering why not just connect Carbon directly to Mac ?

To be clear, that is how I am running. The Carbon is normally connected to the Mac Studio. I needed a dock and bought one with AVB support and just tried the AVB on it to see if it would work, and it does.

I figured some people might want to know of the option...

Yes, good to know, thanks for the report. Very handy for people with limited numbers of ports - MBA and MBP users.

The AVB chipset the OWC uses had a few dropouts during our testing, which was why we didn't qualify it, but by and large it should be fine.

If you start to see any dropouts, go back to the direct connection for Carbon, but keep using the hub for other devices.

Hope you are well Steve!

Thanks Mark, living in Colorado... it's awesome!

Any word on Euconizing Carbon to work with S1/S4/S6 for monitor controls? Or wider speaker layouts?

No ETA on Eucon... but keep we're working on wider speaker outputs, so keep an eye out.
